Flag retirement
To the Editor:
The Veterans of Foreign War Fox River Post 4600 will conduct a flag retirement ceremony promptly at 6 p.m. Thursday. Post members along with the Boy Scouts will retire many flags dropped off at our post at 3002 Route 120 in McHenry.
If you have never witnessed such a retirement ceremony, please join me and my comrades as we perform this solemn duty. If you have a flag that needs to be retired, please drop it off before the ceremony begins.
