MCCD offers adults, children discovery programs in June
WOODSTOCK – The McHenry County Conservation District offers a variety of ways for families to make summer discoveries outdoors.
Registration is required for the following programs.
• Bubbling Bobolinks: 6 to 8:30 p.m. June 19 at Glacial Park Conservation Area, Route 31 and Harts Road, Ringwood. This evening walk will search for grassland birds at Glacial Park. Listen for the “bubbling” calls of the bobolink along the way. After the walk, participants will gather at the Powers-Walker House to tally the bird counts and share refreshments. Participants should bring binoculars and field guides if they have them. The program is free for county residents and $2 for nonresidents. It is meant for those 14 years and older.
