Walker for Quinn?

To the Editor:

I would like to thank the people of Wisconsin and Gov. Scott Walker for confronting one of the bigger drains on modern society – public employee unions. We in Illinois could learn a lot from this, yet we refuse to learn and continue re-electing our seasoned professional criminals to office.

It is interesting to see that since public employee union members in Wisconsin were allowed to choose not to participate, they left in droves. Perhaps they felt a level of self-confidence, whereas they no longer needed the “protection” that unions claimed to provide. Perhaps they felt that if they performed their jobs professionally, the union was simply another drain on their incomes.
