Kids to learn safety in miniature town
CRYSTAL LAKE – Children learn safety through role playing and participating in simulated life situations.
Safety Town, at Grand Oaks Recreation Center at 1401 W. Route 176, is a nationally recognized program that uses a miniature town to teach safety lessons to 5- and 6-year-olds. Safety also is taught through songs, poems, art projects, stories, movies, and visits from the police and fire departments.
T-shirts are included in the class fee. Students should bring a bike helmet to class.
