Man arrested in McHenry burglaries

McHENRY – A 42-year-old man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a string of residential burglaries in a McHenry subdivision.

Joseph P. McQuade, of 1103 Bonita Lane, McHenry, was charged with four felony counts of residential burglary, three misdemeanor counts of theft, a felony count of theft and a misdemeanor count of criminal trespass to a residence.

There were reports of four residential burglaries and an attempted burglary at homes in the McHenry Shores subdivision dating to mid-May, McHenry police Detective Sgt. Tom Walsh said. The most break-ins took place June 5 in the 1000 block of South Bonita Lane and the 600 and 700 blocks of South Broadway Street.
