Fall opening set for new Rockford VA clinic

ROCKFORD – The opening is scheduled this fall for a new Department of Veterans Affairs medical clinic in Rockford.

The Rockford Register Star reported that work on the outpatient medical clinic is on schedule. The new clinic will be double the size of the existing veterans' health center in Rockford. The VA served about 8,000 veterans in the Rockford area last fiscal year.

The new clinic will have the capacity to serve as many as 11,000 veterans. It will provide primary care and mental health services, physical therapy, clinical pharmacy, podiatry and women's health services.
