Following health-care path at Good Shepherd
BARRINGTON – Connor Sundberg doesn't know where he'll be or what he'll be doing in 10 years. Or five years. Or two, for that matter.
It's sort of the why he's here at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital on a Wednesday morning he could be sleeping in.
The 17-year-old senior-to-be at Marian Central Catholic High School is in the Special Care Nursery listening to Dr. Faheem Uraizee break down the required steps to treat the hour-old baby girl lying in front of them. Her soft groans with each exhale are a sign she might still have fluid in her lungs – a treatable complication that happens three or four times per 100 births.
