Fox Valley Conference principals are not yet sure where they might find prospective new members within the next two years, but they know one that will not be on that list.

The FVC will be looking for one to three “public” schools to join the conference by the 2014-15 school year, which eliminates Marian Central, the only larger McHenry County school not in the FVC or Big Northern Conference.

Marian competes in the Suburban Christian Conference and likely would prefer the FVC, but, as in the past, the FVC does not want a private school that can draw from the same areas of most of its member schools.
