McHenry teacher receives esteemed award
In college, Joshua Kinder was asked to present his research findings at a local conference. He was worried about presenting material no one would understand. So he sat down and wrapped his mind around trying to explain something to those who knew nothing about the subject.
It was then that the McHenry native wondered, “How do my teachers deal with this?”
After the conference, he spoke with his teachers and asked about their experiences with the same issue. It was during those talks that he knew he wanted to become a teacher. Stumbling upon the Knowles Science Teaching Fellowship through Facebook has allowed him to pursue his dream.
