Sack Hackmatack
To the Editor:
Listen up all McHenry County taxpayers, especially farmers, tea party members and those opposed to higher federal taxes.
There’s a hare-brained scheme afoot called Hackmatack that seeks to take more than 11,000 acres of land from McHenry County and southeastern Wisconsin and put it into the U.S. Fish and Wildlife service’s broad base of undeveloped land in order to “protect endangered species.”
