Future of LITH horse stables in question
LAKE IN THE HILLS – The future of a vacant equestrian center remains up in the air while the village tries to find a tenant for the property.
Village Board members decided to give staff the rest of the summer to find a tenant for the former Larsen Horse Stables on Pyott Road. If staff members are unsuccessful, the board will revisit the issue.
The village has been looking to lease the property that used to be an equestrian business. The 27-acre property was bought for $2.6 million and contained an equestrian center, farm buildings, a house, a pond and a gazebo.
