Woodstock impound fees exceed expectations
WOODSTOCK – Just six months into its new vehicle impound program, Woodstock police already have seized more vehicles than expected.
In mid-January, the City Council approved an ordinance that allows police to impound vehicles of those arrested for various criminal or traffic offenses.
To get the vehicle out of impound, the arrested person must pay a $500 fine to police. The offender also is charged towing and storage fees paid to various tow agencies.
