Driver cited for DUI in accident that killed pony
YORKVILLE – A collision between a Shetland pony and an all-terrain vehicle left the pony dead and the ATV driver facing a DUI charge.
Authorities in Yorkville say the accident happened Sunday in the suburb southwest of Chicago.
Police say the pony was on the road when the crash happened. The animal had to be euthanized due to the back injury it suffered in the accident.
