McHenry County under wind advisory

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for McHenry County from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The high winds are expected to occur across the north central and far northeastern portions of the state, according to the NWS.

Sustained winds of 30 mph to 35 mph are expected throughout much of the day, with gusts of between 45 mph to 50 mph likely.
