Bond raised to $750K on McHenry County man facing sex charges
WOODSTOCK – A man with two pending sex cases had his bond increased on Tuesday to $750,000 for having contact with his girlfriend's underage daughter.
Between the two cases, David S. Heinz, 48, is charged with on count of criminal sexual assault, three counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, one count of child exploitation, and six counts of contributing to the delinquency of a child.
Heinz was indicted in April 2010 for the first case, accused of having inappropriate sexual contact at his Woodstock residence with a minor girl. He posted $50,000 bond and was released, moving to Wonder Lake.
In December, he was indicted for a second time, again accused of having sexual contact that previous summer with underage girls. Police have said that Heinz would meet alleged victims at public locations and befriend them, giving them alcohol and then sexually assaulting them.
He posted $100,000 and was released for a second time.
A court order was entered in January, prohibiting Heinz from having "any verbal or physical contact with any female under the age of 18," but Richmond police were informed that Heinz had been staying in the village with his girlfriend and her 13-year-old daughter.
According to court documents, the girl was interviewed and said that Heinz had stayed at her house and hugged her, which made her feel "uncomfortable."
Heinz told McHenry County Judge Sharon Prather that he was just visiting.
