MARENGO – The McHenry County College Shah Center partners with forklift manufacturer Nissan Forklift Corp. NA to offer hands-on forklift training.

The Forklift Operator class provides participants with knowledge in Powered Industrial Truck (forklift) operation. Students will gain the skills required to operate a lift truck in a correct and professional manner. Trucks covered in the training are: Industrial Truck Association Class 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.  Operator training is available from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on July 27, Aug. 24 or Sept. 21. Cost is $125.

Train the Trainer: Forklift is scheduled in 2½-day sessions from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on July 10 and July 11 and from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on July 12; or from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 20 and Aug. 21 and 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Aug. 22. Cost  is $1,000 and includes class materials and lunch.
