Loyola campus digs into organic, local food

Eating local and organic food is all the rage and Loyola University Chicago Retreat and Ecology Campus in Woodstock plans to take advantage of that.

The Retreat and Ecology Campus will hold five food-related events this summer, focusing on the importance of locally grown and organic food.

“It’s part of our mission,” said Amanda Hitterman, director of campus operations. “We want it to be a place for the community to come and visit. We want to be a good neighbor and show people what we’re doing.”
