The beat goes on

To the Editor:

True to form at the June 14 Grafton Township meeting, three trustees, Betty Zirk, Rob LaPorta and Jerry McMann, voted to reduce the senior bingo event to once a month. We used to enjoy two a month. Our free bingo day consists of a free lunch provided by whomever hosts it that day, an informative speaker, they take our blood pressure and blood sugar count, and bingo from noon to 2:30 p.m.

Everyone who attends pays $1, and that money is used for the prize money for the lucky winners. The hosts also provide neat gifts to be awarded to a lucky winner if their name is pulled, and also some of the seniors bring gifts to be awarded to some lucky winner.
