CRYSTAL LAKE – The First Congregational Church will begin offering a Saturday service this weekend.
The service, which will be called Spirit Worship, will be the fourth Saturday in June, July and August, and then weekly beginning Sept. 8.

The service will have a different format than traditional Sunday services. It is expected to be multigenerational and will feature a variety of music, the church said in a news release.

After the service there will be a “happy hour,” which will include a light dinner, games and an ice cream social.
