Secretary pleads guilty to stealing from law firm
WHEATON, Ill. — A suburban Chicago woman accused of stealing more than $550,000 while working as a secretary at a Downers Grove law firm has pleaded guilty.
Mary Marra of Woodridge entered her plea Thursday. She was charged with two counts of felony theft and one count of continuing financial crimes enterprise.
DuPage County prosecutors say Marra deposited unauthorized checks into her bank account and forged her former employer's signature from December 2002 to February 2008.
