CHICAGO – Gordon Beckham has made significant adjustments at the plate, but nothing an outsider would be able to see by merely looking at him. It’s all between the ears.

“I’ve made an adjustment in terms of my mentality.” Beckham said. “Since the beginning of May I have just started figuring some stuff out. I’ve been trying to get back to when I first came up to the big leagues.

“That’s part of the reason as to why I’ve been hitting because I’ve gotten back to doing what I’ve been doing with that aggressive and confident approach.”
