Blackhawks take defenseman in second round
CHICAGO – The Blackhawks selected Canadian defenseman Dillon Fournier in the second round Saturday, making him the 48th overall pick.
The Hawks took the Montreal native after picking Finnish left wing Teuvo Teravainen at No. 18 on Friday. The 6-foot-2 Fournier spent last season with Rouyn-Noranda Huskies of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
They then drafted former Hawks star Jeremy Roenick's nephew, taking forward Chris Calnan from Noble & Greenough School in Massachusetts in the third round (79th overall).
