LAKEWOOD – Lou Malnati’s is celebrating its five-year anniversary in the Lakewood community Aug. 26 with the 5-K Deep Dish Dash. The race benefits the Family Health Partnership Clinic’s breast cancer fund, a McHenry County charity committed to helping women with breast cancer.

In cooperation with the village, the event will start and end in the restaurant parking lot at Ackman Road and Redtail Drive. Register at www.active.com. There is a $35 registration fee that includes entry into the run, a T-shirt and a race bag.

The race starts at 8 a.m. and winds through the community. Pizza will be served after the race to all runners.
