Psychiatric service to be added to McHenry Health Center
McHENRY – The McHenry Community Health Center plans to offer psychiatric care services to former clients of the Family Service and Community Mental Health Center beginning in July.
The center, owned by the Greater Elgin Family Care Center, will be able to hire the equivalent of two full-time people to provide psychiatric care through an agreement with the McHenry County Mental Health Board.
Dr. Elizabeth McMasters will move from Family Service to the Community Health Center and begin seeing patients July 9. She will have the capacity to see 600 to 800 clients a year, entailing 5,100 to 5,200 visits.
