Two third-party candidates file for General Assembly seats
The slate of contested McHenry County races now includes the 52nd House and the 33rd Senate districts.
Dee Beaubien, widow of 52nd House District Rep. Mark Beaubien, filed today to run as an independent candidate. Carpentersville Village Trustee Doug Marks filed as a Libertarian to run in the 33rd Senate District.
Beaubien, of Barrington Hills, will face Republican candidate David McSweeney, also of Barrington Hills, who came out on top of a three-way primary race that included state Rep. Kent Gaffney.
