Jager cruises into steeplechase final
EUGENE, Ore. – Evan Jager finally has his chance.
The former high school star at Jacobs will be racing with a shot at the Olympics on the line Thursday in the steeplechase final.
That’s because Jager won his opening-round heat Monday at the U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials with a time of 8:30.60. He controlled the pace the whole way and put himself in a spot to silence all his critics.
