Madigan’s accountability
To the Editor:
On our state’s website, House Speaker Michael Madigan says: “As Speaker, I want every citizen of Illinois to know this is a people’s Legislature – we are here to serve the public, openly, honestly and with the highest standards. I am accountable only to you.”
Here is your report card, sir – Illinois is in the poorest fiscal condition of all states. You are fully accountable for this result. You are a disgrace to the good people of this state.
