Romeos return home to rock Lakeside Fest
When it comes to the music at the Lakeside Festival, the goal is variety, organizers say.
Those who attend can hear Dixieland Jazz, Jimmy Buffet-inspired tunes, rock, dance music, pop and retro-style Journey, Styx and REO Speedwagon covers.
With area bands and those popular throughout the Chicago area, this year’s festival gets local musicians on stage and is bound to attract fans who want to “come out here and have a good time,” event chair Ron Russell said.
