Rosecrance to fill mental health void

A Rockford-based substance abuse and mental health agency will absorb some patients when Family Service and Community Mental Health Center closes Saturday.

Rosecrance officials said the agency temporarily will rent space at the former Family Service building in McHenry to offer the gamut of outpatient mental health and substance abuse services. The agency will rent space at 4100 Veterans Parkway for the next 90 days.

Rosecrance has been working swiftly to transition to McHenry County, and will begin seeing clients as early as Thursday.
