Early morning fire damages Harvard barn

HARVARD - A pole barn was destroyed during an early morning fire in Harvard, according to fire officials.

Crews were called to the 18400 block of Lincoln Road at around 3 a.m. for a structure fire, according to the Harvard Fire Department. The barn located on the property was fully engulfed in flames.

The fire has been contained, but the barn and some farm equipment located inside were destroyed, Battalion Chief Don Davidson said. Lincoln Road was shut down between Schultz and Irish roads. The roadway has since reopened.
