Local reaction to health care decision all over the chart

Local reaction to Thursday’s landmark U.S. Supreme Court ruling upholding the health care reform law was just as mixed and opinionated as the national discussion.

Local hospitals lauded the court’s decision that most of the law, including the controversial individual mandate, is constitutional. The state medical association warned that there is no reform without Medicaid and tort reform. And our Republican representatives in Congress vowed to get the law repealed.

Mary Rudder, one of the estimated 30 million uninsured Americans, just wants her situation to change.
