On the Record With ... Linda Stoppenbach
Linda Stoppenbach is the director of the Fox River Grove Memorial Library. She took over in May after the previous director, Karolyn Nance, left for a new job in Bartlett.
Stoppenbach has worked in libraries in Round Lake and Kenosha, Wis., as a reference librarian and as the library director in Justice. She has worked in libraries for 15 years. Stoppenbach grew up in Oak Lawn.
She took some time off to raise her son, Jack. She did work on a library planning commission and was a volunteer EMT in Salem Township in Wisconsin before returning to work full time.
