Next stop for Algonquin’s Evan Jager – 2012 London Olympic Gamess

EUGENE, Ore. – When Evan Jager turned around and saw that he was about to be the U.S. champion, he couldn’t help himself.

The former Jacobs High School standout from Algonquin had that swagger back. Without anyone within 50 meters of him on the homestretch, Jager turned to the crowd and stuck out his tongue in disbelief.

When he crossed the line he yelled at the top of his lungs. With that, he exorcised demons and injuries, bad races and skepticism.
