Thrift store closed after fire damage
EAST DUNDEE – An East Dundee thrift store is closed after fire severely damaged the front of the building Thursday afternoon, fire officials said.
More than 25 fire departments were called about 1 p.m. for the blaze at Community Thrift Store, 900 E. Main St.
The additional crews were used to ensure the safety of the firefighters contending not only with the fire but also near record-high temperatures that on Thursday hit triple digits for the first time in more than seven years.
