100,000 still without power after storms
CHICAGO — Thousands of residents are still without power in northern Illinois, and officials with Commonwealth Edison say it could take several days to restore service.
About 250,000 ComEd customers were left in the dark at the height of the outages after a storm swept through Chicago and its suburbs, knocking down trees and power lines.
ComEd spokesman John Schoen says about 100,000 customers remain without power Monday morning.
