Body of drowning victim found in Lake Mattoon
NEOGA – Search crews found the body of a 25-year-old man who went out into Lake Mattoon to retrieve an inflatable raft and didn't return to shore.
Alan Baker of the Neoga Fire Protection District says the Shelby County Dive Team found the body Sunday night near where he'd last been seen hours earlier. The victim's name isn't yet being released, pending notification of family members.
Emergency workers say the man was from Windsor.
