Man injured in collision on Fox River
PORT BARRINGTON – An Antioch man was injured Saturday when the personal watercraft he was riding collided with another rider on the Fox River, authorities said.
Phillip Pleotis, 22, was traveling north on the Fox River near the 600 block of Rawson Bridge Road in Port Barrington around 7 p.m. when he tried to make a sharp U-turn and was struck by a Sea-Doo traveling south, said Undersheriff Andrew Zinke of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office.
Pleotis suffered a cut to his arm and was taken to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington. He was later released. The other man was not injured.
