PORT BARRINGTON - An Antioch man was injured Saturday when the personal watercraft he was riding collided with another rider along the Fox River, according to authorities.

Phillip Pleotis, 22, was traveling north on the Fox River near the 600 block of Rawson Bridge Road in Port Barrington at around 7 p.m. when he attempted to make a sharp U-turn and was struck by a Sea-Doo traveling south, according to Undersheriff Andrew Zinke of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office.

Pleotis suffered a laceration to his arm and was transported to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington where he was later released. The other man was not injured.
