Area’s best BBQers get cookin’ at Rockin’ Ribfest

The bands at the upcoming Rockin' Ribfest in Lake in the Hills won't be the only performers.

The ribbers - eight award winning grillers and barbecuers from throughout the country - will be putting on shows of their own as they display their trophies and promote their creations.

"We're performers," said Jerry Gibson, owner of Pigfoot BBQ Co. based in Ohio and founder of the National Barbeque Cookers Association. The festival draws its vendors from the group.
