CL Park District to host open-water swim races
CRYSTAL LAKE – On July 14, the Crystal Lake Park District will host its annual Open Water Swim Races. The races consist of 1-mile and 2-mile courses.
The course begins at Main Beach, 300 Lakeshore Drive, Crystal Lake, and follows a straight line out and back. This is a great event for those training for a triathlon, the district said.
Wetsuits are optional. Swim caps are provided. All participants who register in advance receive a gift. The cost is $35 in advance and $45 on race day.
