All-Star nod would be 'huge' for Peavy

CHICAGO – Jake Peavy, rejuvenated arm and all, is one of the unlikeliest candidates for the All-Star Game.

If it weren’t for White Sox teammate Adam Dunn and the slugger’s power numbers, Peavy would have the AL Comeback Player of the Year award locked up. For now, however, Peavy will settle for one last chance to appear in Kansas City on July 10 at the All-Star Game.

Peavy stands in second place in the AL Final Vote and needs to overcome the favorite, Rangers pitcher Yu Darvish, to secure the AL roster spot decided by fans.
