Extreme temperatures to continue through Friday
Stifling heat will continue throughout the Chicago region through Friday.
An excessive heat warning continues through 10 p.m. Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
Temperatures today and Friday will top out between 100 and 105 degrees, with lows tonight between 75 and 80 degrees. The heat index both Thursday and Friday afternoon includes temperatures between 108 and 118 degrees.
