Welcome break from the heat
CRYSTAL LAKE – At long last, some relief from the heat.
After eight straight days of scorching temperatures in at least the 90s – many days topping 100 degrees – McHenry County residents are enjoying a cooling off period.
Overnight lows dropped into the 60s last night, with highs today in the mid-80s. In fact, the forecast calls for highs in the 80s and overnight lows in the 60s through Thursday, with 90-degree temperatures returning Friday.
