Heritage Fair in Union draws bargain seekers

UNION – Bernadine Moll carried a small, decorated paper bag while walking along Main Street on Sunday in the sunshine.

Inside were the treasures she’d take home from the day she spent with her husband, Bill, at the McHenry County Historical Society Heritage Fair. Moll, 77, found handmade yarn Christmas ornaments at the white elephant sale.

“It reminds me of a small town, the quaintness of it,” the Lake in the Hills resident said of the fair.
