MCHENRY – Centegra Health System has announced the opening of Centegra Clinical Laboratories.

The launch of CCL was planned as part of Centegra Health System’s 10,000-square-foot clinical laboratories expansion that started in June 2010 in response to the increased demand for medical laboratory testing.

“Population growth is contributing to a greater need for medical laboratories, and there is a stronger emphasis on preventative medicine, early detection and patient responsibility,” said Rebecca Rockwood, laboratory director at Centegra Health System. “The consistent and rapid growth of new medical technologies such as genetic testing is another reason we added CCL to the full continuum of health care services offered at Centegra.”
