CHICAGO – Palos Heights native and former Blackhawks forward Eddie Olczyk is headed to the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame.
Olczyk learned Wednesday that he would be inducted this fall as part of a three-person group that includes Mike Modano, the highest-scoring American-born player of all time, and Lou Lamoriello, the longtime front-office executive for the New Jersey Devils.
In 16 NHL seasons, Olczyk notched 342 goals and 452 assists in 1,031 games. He also represented the U.S. in nine international competitions, including the 1984 Olympics in Sarajevo.
