To the Editor:
Regarding Assisi Animal Foundations’ plea for donations. I can heartily attest to the need. I worked in this organization for eight years and saw what a need there is for this kind of a shelter here in McHenry County.
Since this was the first no-kill shelter at its inception in 1988, it has taken care of hundreds of cast-away cats and dogs that have lived out their little lives in a warm, safe environment until the end of life or, hopefully, adoption.
