CHICAGO – The Bulls’ self-proclaimed “Bench Mob” will have a much different look next season.

The latest development in the group’s makeover took place Friday when the Bulls reportedly agreed to trade Kyle Korver to the Atlanta Hawks. The deal, which was first reported by the Chicago Tribune, is expected to save $500,000 for the Bulls because they avoided having to buy out the third and final season of Korver’s contract.

The Bulls reportedly will receive a second-round draft pick in return from the Minnesota Timberwolves, who helped to facilitate the deal.

Korver joins two former teammates, Ronnie Brewer and C.J. Watson, who are not expected to return to the Bulls after the team declined to pick up one-year options on their contracts. Another roster decision looms regarding restricted free agent Omer Asik, who was courted by the Houston Rockets but had not signed an offer sheet as of Friday evening.

Meanwhile, the Bulls are expected to sign guard Kirk Hinrich to a two-year deal for $6 million. Hinrich played seven seasons with the Bulls before he was traded in June 2010.

Korver, 31, averaged 8.1 points and 2.4 rebounds in 65 games (seven starts) during the 2011-12 regular season. He shot 43.5 percent from beyond the arc but struggled badly in the postseason, averaging 3.8 points a game while shooting only 30.8 percent from 3-point range.

In nine NBA seasons, Korver has averaged 9.5 points in 664 games.
