Family-oriented Fiesta Days draws crowd

McHENRY – Area residents gathered Saturday at Petersen Park for good times with old friends and news beginnings Saturday as Fiesta Days.

Festival attendees enjoyed local favorites such as Plum Garden’s Hong Kong Chicken and children had a field day concocting their ideal snow cone at a flavor station.

The carnival was in full swing, much to the delight of Round Lake Park resident Jack Westcott. The seven-year-old said he was proud of the goldfish he won at one of the carnival games. Jack enjoyed the festival in the company of his dad, Lakemoor Police Officer Rocky Westcott.
