To the Editor:
I would like to respond to a letter from Jake Getter that was published on July 10.
First, motorcyclists do pay tolls with an I-PASS that is in the saddle bag or attached to our windshield.
Second, you obviously do not ride a motorcycle. If you did, you would understand how obstructive helmets can be. They obstruct vision and hearing. Yes, they can be a life saver in some instances, but I and many other riders would rather be able to see and hear, which can prevent many accidents.
If people in cars would be more aware of motorcyclists, most accidents would be avoided. Besides, we still have the right to choose whether we wear a helmet or not, and we certainly do not want another law that takes away another freedom that affects no one other than the rider.
